Who we serve / Data centers

Most outages are not equipment failures. They are procedures that were not followed.

What is happening

Our view

The industry is building capacity faster than it has ever built anything, and staffing it with people who were doing something else two years ago. Uptime's own reading of its data is that training and real-time operational support may reduce risk more than better documents will.

We agree, and we would go further. A procedure that is hard to follow at two in the morning is a design problem, not a discipline problem. Power and cooling equipment is dense, and a switching or replacement sequence done in the wrong order is expensive.

The makers of that equipment are in the best position to fix it: cooling units, power distribution, switchgear and racks all leave the factory with CAD that already describes how they come apart.

Where Machinebase fits

  • Maintenance and replacement procedures for the equipment you build, drafted from its CAD.
  • Step-by-step 3D guidance a technician can follow on a laptop or tablet in the hall.
  • One procedure shipped with every unit, instead of a PDF per site.
