Who we serve / Energy & utilities

The grid is being rebuilt by a workforce that is about to retire.

What is happening

Our view

Turbines, transformers, switchgear and compressors run for decades, and the people who commissioned them are leaving. The work that is left is the hard kind: an overhaul done once every few years, on equipment nobody on the crew has opened before.

At the same time demand is rising and new plant is going in faster than crews can be trained on it. We think the constraint on the grid is no longer only steel and permits. It is how quickly a competent technician can become competent on this particular machine.

The makers of that equipment can close the gap. An overhaul procedure that shows each step on the real model, in the order it has to happen, travels with the unit to every site and every contractor.

Where Machinebase fits

  • Overhaul and maintenance procedures drafted from the equipment's CAD.
  • Long sequences shown step by step in 3D, in the order the geometry requires.
  • The same procedure for your own crews and for contractors on site.
